Gheorghe Ignat is a non-profit leader, businessman, published author, and elite ex-professional athlete.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Suceava in sports management. After a 10-year career in Greco-Roman wrestling in which he was the 10-time national champion for Romania, and then an undefeated career as an international MMA fighter, Gheorghe became a business entrepreneur. He has launched two successful businesses, one of which he ran as a social enterprise to provide jobs for those whom society often rejects: ex-convicts, Roma individuals, refugees, and disabled persons. This experience led him to found Fight For Freedom-Romania in 2019, which has since grown to include a sister organization, Fight For Freedom-Ukraine, and its parent umbrella organization, Fight For Freedom International (FFFI). Gheorghe serves as President of FFFI and Chairman of the Board of its subsidiary organizations. And he is a faith-based public speaker, speaking internationally in churches as well as in the field in places as varied prisons, war zones, and refugee camps.
